MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Seabridge Port Agencies Corp (SPAC) is the first port/marine agent to handle a Floating Storage Unit (FSU) within the Philippine territorial waters. Seabridge pride itself in handling offshore operations with smooth and reliable conduct of performing the related-processes and special permits needed. Our well-established rapport to port and government authorities strengthens our hold in offshore and onshore operations.
Atlantic, Gulf & Pacific International Holdings (AG&P) has completed the conversion of a vessel into a floating storage unit (FSU) for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) that will be docked at the first Philippine LNG Import Terminal (PHLNG) in Iligan Port, Batangas. The FSU is part of the collective onshore-offshore import terminal that will have an initial capacity of 5 million tons per annum (MTPA). The hybrid PHLNG terminal is engineered to deliver to its clients, resiliency and availability of supply regardless of weather conditions.
The LNG Carrier ISH is designated to be the floating storage unit with measurement of 137,512 cubic meter capacity, serving to be a vital component of the PHLNG terminal. Last February 2022, AG&P signed a 15-year long-term charter agreement with ADNOC Logistics and Services 9ADNOC L&S) for the supply, operations and maintenance of the ISH. GAS Entec (AG&P subsidiary) completed the conversion on record time and also made modifications to allow simultaneous loading and discharge of LNG. The FSU will be capable of loading LNG at a peak rate of 10,000 cbm/hr and a discharge-to-shore peak rate at 8,000 cbm/hr.
The ISH entered Philippine waters last 03 April 2023 at the Port of Batangas then proceeded to Port of Subic, after its temporary local conversion from FOREIGN TO COASTWISE TRADE, for Ship-to-ship transfer operations. After which, ISH will advance to Balayan island for cool down prior docking at Iligan terminal.
