The Navotas Coastal Bay Reclamation Project otherwise known as the Navotas Boulevard Business Park is the biggest reclamation project along the coast of Manila Bay. It is a 650-hectare reclamation project signed between the Local Government Unit of Navotas and Argonbay Construction Company Inc (an SMC subsidiary company) together with the approved permit by the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA).
The Belgium-based well affirmed contractor – Jan De Nul Group is chosen to handle the dredging works of the 650 ha project. Whilst, JDN is known for its quality of reclamation projects, the Belgium-based contractor appoints Seabridge Port Agencies Corp (HQ) to be its counterpart in processing governmental permits and general liaison activities.
The Navotas Coastal Bay Reclamation Project is envisioned to create a diverse business community with residential, institutional, commercial and industrial areas suitable for port facilities, marine and tourism.
The completion of the reclamation is projected to run for 5 years through the aid of JDN’s fleet of Specialized Trail Suction Hopper Dredgers that will simultaneously dredge, dump, fill and reclaim the parameters of the coastal project.
